We are looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to support the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (DOE/NNSA) Y-12 Acquisition and Project Management Office (APMO).

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervises and provides technical direction for APMO Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) project controls personnel, cost engineering and planning/scheduling activities, and supports organizational and administrative activities.
  • Work activity includes resource planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, statistics- using and performance reporting.
  • Develops scenarios and what if models in support of planning activities. Helps to manage NNSA contingency and risk.
  • Interfaces with Federal Project Directors, project groups and staff, Managing & Operating contractor personnel, as well as federal personnel as needed.
  • Possesses extensive experience utilizing and administering Project Management project controls tools and systems.
  • Drafts artifacts to support the development of, reports, white papers, workflow diagrams, executive summaries and/or presentations, meeting minutes, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years field engineering/construction oversight/monitoring experience on large (greater than $10M) construction projects .
  • Ability to currently possess or obtain a DOE/NNSA "Q" Clearance.
  • Functional knowledge/experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional / Program Management Professional certification.
  • Experience supporting DOE programs.
